Yemen Receives $6.128b as Loans in 2000

International, financial Institutions, regional Arab funds and agencies had offered the republic of Yemen $6.128 billion loans by the end of 2000, reports said. 

According to Xinhua News Agency, $4.981 billion of the total loans have been used, and 70 percent of the debt will be repaid in 10 years. 

The debt burden was growing to risky levels, said the agency – Albawaba.com
