Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Saturday a letter form the Chairman of the Trustees Council of Jerusalem Institution Dr. Yussuf al-Qardawi.
In the letter, al-Kardawi informed Saleh of the situation in the Palestinian territories and the latest threats against al Aqsa Mosque posed by Israeli extremist groups. The letter urged an Islamic reaction to the threats.
Al-Qardawi also said "We are pleading you to move quickly to use the political and diplomatic pressure to stop this criminal plot (of attack against Jerusalem)".
