A source in the Media Office at the Presidency of Yemen denied Saturday news that the anti-US cleric Hussein Badruddinal-Houthi surrendered to mediators and arrived Saturday morning. "This is baseless," the source told alsahwanet, confirming that the army is committed to halting military offensive at the ordering of President Saleh.
Military offensive against the cleric was halted late Thursday as President Ali Abdullah Saleh delegated a committee of mediators to go to the rugged mountains of Marran and convince the dissident cleric to surrender.
