Yemen to cut diplomatic staff

Directions have been given to the Yemeni Foreign Ministry to cut 50% of the diplomatic corps abroad. The directions are in line with the current reforms, which aim mainly at reducing state expenses. According to SABA, the initial procedures include closing the military, information, cultural, trade and labour sections, which are considered not necessary, as well as reducing the staff to the minimum in other countries.
