At least three Houthi guards have been wounded after a bomb exploded outside the republican palace in Sana'a, Yemen's capital, according to Reuters.

On Friday, Houthi rebels dissolved the Yemen's parliament and formally took power in the region's poorest country issuing a new constitutional declaration.

The palace was once home to Yemen's President Hadi, before he resigned amid pressure from the Houthi movement and continued violence in the country.

Mohammed Houthi, a top official in the movement's military wing now resides in the place.
