Aberdeen-based Walker Technical Resources (WTR) has announced the launch of four new products which are expected to generate additional sales in excess of £1million within the first year.
WTR is a leading composite repair solutions provider and an internationally recognised name in asset integrity working predominantly in the oil and gas industry.
The firm has launched four new products to supplement its trademarked ‘Technowrap™’ product line; Technowrap Splashzone™, Technowrap HP PRS™, Technowrap Potable™ and Technowrap Structural Strengthening™.
Technowrap Structural Strengthening™ is a carbon based repair system intended for structural strengthening applications in civil engineering projects, such as bridge building and maintenance, and also within the ship building industry.
Graham Birnie commercial director of WTR said: “The addition of these products has helped to greatly increase our portfolio of asset integrity solutions. Technowrap Structural Strengthening™ in particular will allow the company to diversify into significant new markets - an exciting prospect for everyone involved.”
The three additional products have been designed to deal with specific problems faced by the oil and gas industry. Technowrap Splashzone™ will combat caissons and risers suffering corrosion in the splashzone area.
Technowrap HP PRS™ is a high pressure pipeline repair system designed to be used on land on large diameters of pipe work and is ideally suited to the Middle East market.
Technowrap Potable™ has been specifically formulated for use in drinking water applications and has been successfully tested by The Water Quality Centre to ensure the risk of long term chemical release from the product has been eliminated.
WTR now export Technowrap™ composite pipeline repair systems to Angola, Azerbaijan, Equatorial Guinea, Brazil, Norway, Canada, Egypt, Oman, Nigeria, Brunei, Ghata, Yemen, Qatar, Libya, Abu Dhabi and South Africa. For further information on WTR and its products visit www.wtr.uk.com
