TechnoPark, the science and technology facilitator of Economic Zones World has been selected by the World Technopolis Association to host the 5th WTA Dubai Techno-Mart at the beginning of 2008, according to an announcement by TechnoPark here today.
The objective of WTA Techno-Mart is to enable WTA member cities, their industries, academia, and research and development centres, as well as cooperative international organisations, such as UNESCO and IASP etc. to exchange new technologies and display hi-tech products and promote investment contracts.
Hamad Al Hashemi, Managing Director TechnoPark said:

In addition to a technology exhibition, where WTA members will be able to display new technology and products, the Dubai Techno-Mart will feature technology presentation sessions, where businesses from WTA members will be able to share technological advancements with others, and an international workshop featuring case studies, exercises and presentations to enhance the knowledge of technical experts and managers in the Technopolises.
A high-level delegation comprising WTA Secretary General Deong-Seong Oh, Director Unesco-WTA Center for Science City Governance, Prof. Byung-Joo Kang, and WTA Director Tae-Ho La had met Mr. Hamad al Hashemi, Managing Director Techno Park, and other Economic Zones World officials earlier this year.
The World Technopolis Association (WTA), is a multilateral international organization created with aims to connect the advancement of science and technology with local development, to achieve a shared development through cooperation and exchanges among science cities.
As an international organization whose members are mainly local governments, the WTA is planning to launch variety of programs for the promoting of the regional development of the member cities as well as other science cities around the world.
