ALBAWABA - The World Food Programme (WFP) announced on Tuesday the death of one of its employees in jail in Yemen, a statement by the organization read.
The organization wrote on X account: "WFP is grief-stricken and outraged about the death of a staff member while in detention in northern Yemen."
According to the United Nations, WFP assists 80 million people in around 80 countries each year. The World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading "humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience."
