While South Africa and Mexico are finalizing their start-up lines for the kick-off match on the evening of the 11th of June at the Soccer City Stadium in South Africa, Kitsch Cupcakes, Dubai’s first specialized cupcakes bar is all set to take the field. Kitsch Cupcakes will be introducing a wide array of World Cup inspired cupcakes for football fans in the UAE.
“The World Cup is finally around the corner and being that it is an occasion that only comes once every four years we feel it is definitely one to celebrate, football lover or not,” says Dalia Dogmoch, Chief Baker & Co-founder, Kitsch Cupcakes.
Kitsch Cupcakes World Cup hopes will rely on the Red Velvets in the attack, Peanut-butter and Chocolate taking the Mid-field while the stubborn Triple Chocolate will lead the defense. Kitsch Cupcakes’ bench strength will also be in the limelight with the likes of Carrot Cake, Strawberry Vanilla and Sticky Dates as additional options for the Kitschaholics.
Although she will be leading the Kitsch team during the 2010 World Cup, Dalia, who grew up in Paris, will “definitely” be backing the French team to carry the title after their 1998 World Cup glory. In fact, Dalia carries her passion for France everywhere including the Kitchen, where she mixes the purest French ingredients to prepare what three-Michelin-starred Chef Marco Pierre White labeled “the best tasting cupcakes in town” during his recent visit to the region.
The Kitsch World Cup fever does not stop there. For every box of 12 cupcakes purchased during the football World Cup, Kitschaholics will also be entitled to enter a raffle draw where they can win Kitsch gift cards worth up to AED 500 each, now that’s a lot of sweetness!
Kitsch will be picking 5 lucky winners on the 11th of July 2010, the very same day the World Cup final will be held. “We wanted to add more excitement to the World Cup and offer our Kitschaholics some of our mouth-watering delights so we have decided to give-away a couple of customized giant cupcakes as well as our Kitsch gift cards that are ideal for every occasion”, says Racil Chalhoub, Co-founder of Kitsch Cupcakes.
Kitsch currently offers 20 different variants of cupcakes in two different sizes, bites (minis) and regular. Giant cupcakes are also available based on customer requests.
