A tragic incident unfolded on Monday morning in downtown Boston, as a worker fell from a high-rise office tower located at 100 Summer St.
Police received the distress call at 7:54 a.m., but despite prompt attention, the worker did not survive.
The Boston Fire Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have launched a comprehensive investigation into the matter. OSHA spokesperson Edmund Fitzgerald confirmed the agency's active response but had no further information to release.
Standing at 32 stories and approximately 450 feet high, 100 Summer Street is a prominent office complex in Boston's Financial District, boasting a staggering 1.1 million square feet of space. This towering structure is among the city's tallest buildings.
Aerial footage depicted a section near the building cordoned off with police tape, while multiple emergency vehicles were stationed at the scene.
The case remains under investigation.
