A plane carrying medical aid from the World Health Organization (WHO) arrived in Sanaa International Airport on Thursday.
The shipment contained 17.5 tons of medical supplies, according to Mohamed al-Amad, acting representative of the WHO in Yemen.
It was the first medical aid shipment to be sent by the WHO to Yemen.
UNICEF and Doctors without Borders have both sent medical supplies to the war-torn country previously.
Yemen has remained in a state of turmoil since 2012.
Almost one month ago, Saudi Arabia and several other Arab states began striking – from the air – positions in Yemen held by the Shiite Houthi group.
Saudi Arabia says the strikes are in response to appeals by embattled Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi for help against the Houthis, who overran capital Sanaa late last year and have since advanced on other provinces.
The Houthis say the Saudi-led airstrikes have led to civilian casualties.
