Western Digital Corp. has introduced WD Essential™ NetCenter network hard drives for small offices and home users. In just three simple steps, WD’s NetCenter network hard drives make it easy to share and save digital picture, video and music files across small office and home networks using a wired or wireless router.
Users simply plug in the NetCenter network hard drive, run the installation wizard and use WD’s EasyLink™ utility to set up the NetCenter hard drive as a local drive on any PC or Macintosh computer on the network.

A demonstration of the new WD Essential NetCenter network hard drive was provided at the E3 Expo held recently in Los Angeles.
WD NetCenter network hard drives, available in capacities ranging from 160 to 320 GB, are perfect for small office and home users who want to centralize and share their digital files and/or connect and share up to two printers on a computer network.
With NetCenter network hard drives, users can also create private, password-protected files; back up files from any computer on the network; access files anytime from any computer on the network and connect additional external hard drives to increase storage capacity for multiple computers on the network. NetCenter network hard drives also allows for real-time duplication of data in case of disk failure.
