West Bank shooting attack wounds three occupation troops as Israel plans to call up four battalions of reserve infantry

Three Israeli soldiers were injured Wednesday evening in a shooting attack on the their vehicle south of the West Bank city of Nablus.  

 

Two of the three are in serious condition, and the third 

sustained moderate wounds, Israel Radio reported.  

 

Meanwhile, Israel Army chief of staff Lieutenant General Moshe Ya'alon, decided Wednesday to call up four battalions of reserve infantry soldiers after the Jewish Sukkot holiday, which starts Friday night, to be deployed in the Gaza Strip and along the border line between Israel and the West Bank in the Jenin, Tulkarem, Qalqilyah and Ramallah areas.  

 

Earlier, the Israeli defense minister Shaul Mofaz approved the call-up of reservists.  

 

Mofaz said on Wednesday that the extra troops were needed to help monitor the border crossings between Israel and the Palestinian areas. (Albawaba.com)
