Algerian state news agency APS said twin car bombings at a hotel and military headquarters southeast of Algiers have killed 11 people and wounded 31 others.
A security official in the area of the town of Bouira told The Associated Press that there are at least seven dead in Wednesday's attacks. The official said most of the victims are civilians.
A car laden with explosives went off at about 6 a.m. in front of the Bouira sector military command, injuring four soldiers, according to APS. It was followed a minute later by a second bombing against the nearby Hotel Sofi, Bouira's largest, witnesses said. That attack killed 11 people and wounded 27 others.
On Tuesday, a suicide bombing in a neighbouring region killed 43 people.
