ALBAWABA - The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Iranian missiles had reached Jerusalem, prompting air raid sirens to blare throughout the city and surrounding regions. The strikes occurred shortly after the U.S. issued a warning to Israel, indicating that Iran was preparing for a missile attack.

Both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv were affected by the missile strikes, with Israel’s Foreign Ministry confirming that air raid sirens were activated nationwide. According to Israeli state radio, more than 250 missiles hit various locations across the country within a span of 30 minutes.

As a result, millions of residents sought shelter in bunkers and safe zones.

IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari confirmed that the U.S. had alerted Israeli officials earlier that day about Iran’s imminent plans to launch missiles toward Israel, emphasizing that any such attack would have "serious repercussions."

According to reports from The New York Times, Iranian strikes would involve both drones and ballistic missiles aimed at Israeli targets.
