The Worldwide Alumni Association at AUB is organizing a special commencement ceremony for members of the classes of 1975 and 1985 who had missed out on their graduation ceremony due to the particularly unstable period in the 1975-1990 Lebanese Civil War. The ceremony will take place on July 2 at 6pm in Assembly Hall and will be part of a fun-filled reunion weekend held on July 2-4, 2010, for 11 classes that graduated between 1955 and 2005.
The class reunion is for alumni who graduated in the following years: 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005.
The weekend will include a gala dinner, a homecoming brunch, guided tours of the campus, and even a "football euphoria" in which alumni would watch World Cup matches on giant screens at the Charles Hostler Student Center.
