A graphic mobile phone video appears to show Daesh (ISIS) torturing a 14-year-old Syrian boy, BBC reported Monday.
BBC obtained the video from a Daesh defector, who filmed the boy, Ahmed, being beaten by the militants while he hangs by his wrists.
Ahmed later escaped from the group when he was sentenced to death and his executioner let him flee to Turkey, BBC reported. The fate of two other men seen tortured in the footage is unknown.
Ahmed said he was captured by the militants when he was 14 years old and tortured for two days. The group later told him to place a bag near a Daesh meeting place, and Ahmed later discovered he was tricked into planting a bomb.
"I am regretting every moment," the man said. "When I joined IS, I wasn't convinced of it but I had to. ... Although I wasn't particularly heavy-handed with people, I hope that the people I hurt will forgive me."
Daesh has been recruiting and training child soldiers for the fight to gain territority in Syria and Iraq. The UN said Daesh, along with other armed groups in the conflict, has been torturing and killing children.
