ALBAWABA - In a recent military operation, the Israeli forces have successfully neutralized a residence linked to Yahya Sinwar, the political leader of Hamas in the northern Gaza Strip. The secure apartment, located near Gaza City, was identified and demolished by the army, revealing the presence of significant materials within.
Following a thorough analysis of the confiscated items, the military released a statement confirming that the apartment served as a concealed hideout for Yahya Sinwar, the political head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
The elite engineering unit known as 'Yahalom' conducted a comprehensive examination of the site, employing advanced technological methods. Their investigation led to the discovery of a strategic tunnel entrance in the basement of the apartment.
Subsequent efforts by the forces traced this opening, uncovering a sizable tunnel believed to be facilitating high-ranking officials of the Hamas movement, both politically and militarily. This apartment was part of an extensive network of tunnels used by senior Hamas figures for residential and operational purposes.
The revealed entrance led to a tunnel stretching 218 meters and descending to a depth of around 20 meters beneath the ground in the northern Gaza Strip. A video released by the Israeli occupation military showcased the interior of the tunnel, featuring amenities such as electricity, ventilation systems, sanitary facilities, prayer rooms, and a rest area. The tunnel appeared to be prepared for extended residence and strategic operational activities.
Simultaneously, Palestinian factions reported the complete destruction of an Israeli military personnel carrier north of the 'Al-Bureij' camp in the central Gaza Strip. The attack utilized a 'Yassin 105' shell. Additionally, the factions detonated a 'Merkava' tank with an explosive device ('Shuwah') and targeted another tank in the 'Al-Bureij' camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, Palestinian factions shared footage depicting a reconnaissance drone, identified as 'Skylark-2,' affiliated with the Israeli occupation army. They claimed that the drone was seized during an intelligence mission conducted west of Beit Hanoun."
