Verbatim, the storage media specialist, today announced the expansion of its product portfolio to include a new range high-quality external Hard Drive Disks (HDD). The HDD assortment, which is available in Jordan, comes in both 2.5" and 3.5" formats and provides storage capacity from 120 GB to 750 GB.
The external 2.5" and 3.5" HDDs offer users an easy and straightforward solution for reliable data backup from any laptop or PC. They feature a practical plug & play compatibility and can be used immediately with no installation required. In addition, each Verbatim HDD comes with "Bounce Back Express" back-up software that enables professional data back-up.

The market research agency Understanding & Solutions anticipate that the future demand for 3.5" and 2.5" HDD’s will surge and that the Hard Disk category will grow globally from its current figure of just under 25 million units to approximately 60 million units in the next four years. “The 3.5" HDD market is the largest segment, but the 2.5" models are also experiencing a fast growth as more and more people today use a laptop and are dependent on additional storage capacity.

Verbatim 2.5" external HDD range
With the palm-sized Verbatim HDD’s in 2.5" format, users have their data at their fingertips at all times, even on the move. Displaying a slender, sophisticated design with robust aluminium housing, the HDD’s are available with 120 GB, 160 GB or 250 GB storage capacity. The sturdy packaging with transparent window offers additional protection against knocks and jolts. The hard disks come with USB 2.0 or two FireWire ports.

The external hard disks in 3.5" format with internal high-speed SATA hard disk are especially powerful and can reliably store even large volumes of data. The housings have ventilation slit to provide sufficient air so no fans are required. This makes the hard disks particularly quiet. On the front, they have a handy on/off switch with LED light. They come with a foot stand and can be conveniently placed on a desk where they have a minimal footprint.
