VCUQ Hosts College Night

Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar (VCUQ) presents college night which is to be held on the 7 February at The Four Seasons Hotel. The aim of the evening is for potential students to learn about the opportunities that VCUQ offers them. These opportunities reflect traditional beliefs about preserving culture as well as incorporating modern ideas about using education to achieve professional goals.

Throughout the evening VCUQ faculty and staff members will explain potential career opportunities in each field of design, the various application requirements and procedures, TOEFL and portfolio requirements and the application fee and possibilities for scholarships. 

“College Night is a wonderful opportunity to share with the community what exactly design is and what are the possibilities of design, in terms of careers” explained Valerie Jeremijenko Assistant Dean for Student Affairs VCUQ.

VCUQ Area Coordinators for each of the design disciplines; fashion, interior and graphic will explain their subjects in detail and talk about career opportunities relating to each discipline. This interaction between faculty and potential students will equip students with the information they need to pursue a meaningful higher education in arts and design.

The 2005-2006 application deadline for VCUQ is the 30th of April 2006. All applicants should submit their applications as soon as possible.

College Night will be held on the 7 February at The Four Seasons Hotel, Doha at 6pm in the Al Daibel Room. Other High School Events VCUQ will be hosting in the future will include High School day on the 4th of March 2006 and Design Discovery June 25th-29th 2006.
