Hard-kicking film hero Jean-Claude Van Damme donned the black hat, coat, curls and long beard of an ultra-orthodox Jew on Monday, stopping crowds in Jerusalem's walled Old City where he was filming a new action flick.
A barely recognizable Van Damme could be seen perched on a catwalk above Damascus Gate in the Muslim quarter of the Old City.
He was in town for a shoot for The Order in which he plays danger-seeker Rudy Cafmeyer on a mission to uncover a sacred scroll found by his father in Jerusalem, and conveniently save the world in the process. The region will also see stars in October, when Brad Pitt and Robert Redford are due to film Spy Games in the northern Israel city of Haifa – (AFP).
