USRobotics, a Platinum Equity company, recently held its first partner event in Cyprus for USRobotics’ distributors and wholesalers from the Middle East and North Africa.
During the event, USRobotics rewarded its partners for their constant support and initiative in promoting the company’s products. A special award ceremony was also held to congratulate the best performing channel partner in 2005. The ceremony is expected to become an annual event for partners.
The partner event was attended by a host of USRobotics’ distributors and wholesalers from the Middle East and North Africa region, along with Peter Blampied, Director, Sales and Operations, USRobotics EMEA; Tony Field, Product Marketing Manager, USRobotics EMEA and Sumit Kumar, Regional Manager, Middle East and North Africa.

The ‘Best Regional Distributor 2005’ award was won by Almasa while the ‘Best Country Distributor 2005’ was won by Saudi Arabia based Advanced Integrated Media. The ‘Best Regional Reseller of the Year 2005’, ‘Best Analog Reseller’ and ‘Best Retailer-UAE’ awards were awarded to UAE’s Quality Computers. UAE based EMAX won the ‘Best Retail Outlet’ award, while Jamal Al Jassim, Saudi Arabia, won the ‘Best Reseller of the Year 2005’. The ‘Best Non-Analog Reseller’ was won by UAE based New Trend Computers.
The ‘Best Platinum Partner for the year 2005’ award was won by Kuwait based E-Tech Systems & Solutions. The award for the Best Regional Product Manager 2005 was won by Almasa’s Vijendra Singh. The Best Product Manager 2005 award was won by Saudi based Advanced Integrated Media’s Reda Al Hussiney, and Abbas Ather of Almasa won the Best Regional Sales Person 2005 award.
