US President cables Saudi King on occasion of Eid al Fitr

Saudi King Fahd bin Abdulaziz has received a cable of congratulations from United States President George W. Bush on the occasion of Eid al Fitr holiday, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. 

 

In his cable, President Bush said the Saudis and Americans believe in God, and look for a world of peace and prosperity which is free from "despotism and terrorism", the official Saudi Press Agency reported. 

 

In his cable of reply, King Fahd expressed his good wishes to the US leader and people, and reiterated the keenness of the Saudi Kingdom for the continuation of consultations with the US in a manner that serves mutual interests of both countries, the agency said. 

 

King Fahd prayed to Allah to keep Saudi Arabia and the United States as well as the rest of the world away from the "menace of the evil forces, terrorism and corruption", the agency added. (Albawaba.com)
