According to a Reuters report, the US-led coalition launched 21 air strikes in Syria and 13 in Iraq over a 24-hour period.

Seventeen of the air-strikes were launched towards Kobani, a Syrian city on the Turkish border.

The coalition has intensified its attack around Kobani, allowing Kurdish forces to reclaim the much-contested border city.

The strikes in Iraq targeted near Mosul, Tal Afar, Haditha and Falluja, the Combined Joint Task Force said in a statement.
