The US-led coalition conducted airstrikes on Sunday against Daesh targets in Iraq and Syria, Reuters reports.
In Iraq, 18 separate airstrikes took place in nine cities including Sinjar, Ramadi, Mosul and Kisik. According to a statement by the Combined Joint Task Force, the airstrikes destroyed Daesh weapons, fighting positions, and vehicles.
Five airstrikes were conducted in Syria near the cities of Abu Kamal, Aleppo and Daesh's self-proclaimed capital city of Raqqa.
