ALBAWABA - Police in the United States arrested Stuart Seldowitz, who previously served as deputy director of the US State Department’s Office of Israel and Palestinian Affairs.

A video showing New York police taking Seldowitz while he was handcuffed has been shared online amid happiness by pro-Palestinians who called him racist.

A video of Seldowitz went viral online after he was caught calling a halal food vendor in New York City a "terrorist."

The clip has been shared widely as the US former adviser was slammed for being "racist" after he also said that the death of 4,000 Palestinian children in Gaza "wasn’t enough." He said: "If we killed 4,000 Palestinian kids, it wasn’t enough."

New York police stated Stuart Seldowitz was arrested on Wednesday on charges of aggravated harassment, stalking causing fear, hate crime stalking, and stalking at a place of employment.

In the viral video, the vendor was telling the former US adviser to go away adding "I won’t hear it," Seldowitz answered: "But you’re a terrorist. You support terrorism."

In addition to abusing the vendor, Stuart Seldowitz was also heard saying slurs against Prophet Muhammad, and social media users and Muslims accused him of being Islamophobic.

Stuart Seldowitz added: "The Mukhabarat [the intelligence agency] in Egypt will get your parents. Does your father like his fingernails? They’ll take them out one by one."
