Commander of the United States Central Command, General John Abizaid, has arrived in Jordan for talks with high-ranking Jordanian officials, the US embassy said Thursday, cited by SPA.
Abizaid, who assumed the duties of his new position earlier this month, was expected to have talks with Jordanian leaders and commanders of the Jordanian armed forces on the situation in Iraq as well as ways of promoting bilateral military cooperation, officials said. (Albawaba.com)
