US-led air attacks resumed in Afghanistan Monday for a second consecutive night, a Pentagon official said.
The official provided no details on the latest strikes except to say that the second round had begun.
US media reported strikes on the Afghan capital of Kabul, Jalalabad in the east and the Taliban southern stronghold of Kandahar.
In Kabul bombs exploded and residents said they could hear jets flying overhead and Taliban gunners responding with long bursts of defensive fire -- WASHINGTON (AFP)
