ALBAWABA- At least two civilians were killed and several others wounded following a series of U.S. airstrikes on residential areas in Yemen’s western city of Al-Hodeidah, local media reported.
The strikes targeted the Amin Muqbil neighborhood in the Al-Hawak District, igniting fires and prompting civil defense teams to conduct urgent rescue and firefighting operations.
According to Ansar Allah (Houthi) media sources, a total of four airstrikes hit the coastal city of Hodeida, while additional American attacks targeted vital communication infrastructure in northern Yemen.
The Dhibeen district in Amran Governorate, particularly the Shawaba area, was among the locations struck, resulting in the disruption of communication networks.
This wave of airstrikes comes as part of an escalating U.S. military campaign in Yemen, with over 27 strikes reported just a day prior across various governorates.
The intensification of attacks has raised alarm over potential wider instability across the Middle East.
Ansar Allah Houthi officials condemned the continued U.S. operations, labeling them acts of aggression and warning of further consequences for the region’s security.
