Washington remains committed to the United Nations effort to find a just and lasting settlement to the Cyprus problem, U.S. President George W. Bush emphasized in his report on the Cyprus question to the Speaker of the US House of Representatives and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, covering the period June 1, 2002 through July 31, 2002, according to the Cyprus News Agency.
