United Nations Executive Manager for Development Program met with Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi in Tehran on Saturday.
During the meeting, the UN official presented a report concerning Afghanistan and added that Tehran has an important role to play in the reconstruction of war-stricken Afghanistan.
Kharrazi, for his part, said that Iran is prepared to cooperate in the rebuilding of Afghanistan within the framework of the UN law, according to Tehran Times.
Meanwhile, in a separate matter, Kenyan National Assembly Speaker, Francis Xavier Ole Kaparo met with Kharrazi in Tehran on Saturday.
Kaparo expressed satisfaction over his visit to Iran and said the prime goal of his visit was to expand parliamentary relations between Iran and Kenya. Kharrazi in the meeting welcomed developing cooperation between the two countries. (Albawaba.com)
