The UN special envoy to Myanmar, Razali Ismail, met Saturday with opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who has been under house arrest since September 22, witnesses said.
Razali arrived at her Yangon home at 2:00pm (0730 GMT) and was still there more than an hour later, the source said.
The Malaysian diplomat arrived in Yangon Friday on a five-day mission to try to bring the Myanmar junta and opposition together in a historic dialogue.
After meeting with Foreign Minister Win Aung after his arrival, he went on to see Khin Nyunt, the powerful chief of military intelligence and the junta's first secretary, sources said -- YANGON (AFP)
