United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan has called upon the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot sides to apply courage, vision and determination and seize the chance at this juncture to find a political settlement, Cyprus News Agency reported Thursday.
Speaking after a meeting with United States President George W. Bush, he said the US President and other world leaders have offered to help the effort to reach a settlement and pointed out that a Cyprus solution would ensure a better future for the generations to come and improve Greco-Turkish ties as well as help Turkey's European aspirations, the agency added.
