ALBAWABA- British Prime Minister has urged an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, warning that "there is no military solution" in Lebanon or Gaza.
He emphasized the need for a political plan to ensure the safe return of Israeli and Lebanese civilians, cautioning that the region is on "the brink of the abyss."
The call for diplomacy was echoed by US Ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, who stressed that a diplomatic solution remains possible to end the suffering in Gaza and allow Israelis and Lebanese to return home.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to use "full force" against Hezbollah until northern Israeli residents can safely return home. Netanyahu hinted at possible ground maneuvers in Lebanon, signaling a potential conflict escalation.
As tensions rise, US officials confirmed that Washington has deployed dozens of soldiers to Cyprus to prepare for further developments. Israeli airstrikes continue to ravage Lebanon, with raids on Mahrouna, Aba, Al-Bissariya, and the outskirts of Baalbek.
Today’s strikes have claimed 55 lives, with around 200 injured so far, raising the death toll in Lebanon to 650, with over 2,000 wounded in the past three days.
This marks the deadliest wave of Israeli attacks on Lebanon since last week's cyberattack, which caused thousands of casualties.
