The UAE urged Wednesday the United States, in its capacity as a major sponsor of the Middle East peace process, to exert more efforts to halt the brutal massacres being perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces against the unarmed Palestinian civilians. According to WAM, Foreign Ministry Under Secretary Saif Saeed bin Saed called, at a meeting with US ambassador Marcelle Wahba, on Washington to press Israel to implement Security Council Resolutions 242,338,425, 1397 and 1402 and the land for peace formula. Saed told Wahba of the UAE's strong condemnation of the acts of killing and extermination practiced by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's government and its miltary machine against the Palestinians who are fighting the Israel occupation to gain their independence and establsih their sovereign state with Jerusalen as its capital.
