UAE President Receives Omani Sultan

UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan received in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday at the Al Bahr Palace Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman in the presence of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, according to Emirates News Agency. Sultan Qaboos arrived in the UAE earlier Tuesday by road on a visit to the UAE. 

 

During the meeting, the leaders reviewed friendly relations between the two countries and ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation between them. They also discussed issues related to the Gulf Cooperation Council and latest regional and international developments as well as issues regarding the Arab arena. 

 

Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Lt. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region and Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chamberlain of the Presidential Court, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a number of Sheikh Zayed sons, sheikhs, ministers, senior UAE officials and Isa Khalfan Al Huraimel, UAE Ambassador to Oman attended the meeting as well. 

 

Also Present from the Omani side were Ali bin Hammoud bin Ali Al Bousaeedi, Minister of the Sultanate Court, General Ali bin Majid Al Mamary, Minister of Sultanate Office, a number of senior Omani officials and Sheikh Mohammed bin Marhoon Al Mamary, Omani Ambassador. (Albawaba.com)
