UAE official calls for moderation, tolerance

Concerted efforts are needed to promote and disseminate the "genuine human values" of the Arab-Islamic culture, a senior UAE official on Sunday underlined. ''Cultural rhetoric should focus on values of moderation, tolerance and co-existence which constitute the essence of our religion,'' said Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Information and Culture. He made this statement to mark the participation of the UAE in celebrations of the "Decade for Arab Culture 2005-2014" initiative, WAM reported.
