UAE to develop nuclear plan

In a meeting held sunday at the Presidential Palace under the chairmanship of Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE cabinet approved a memorandum submitted by Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on UAE's potential development of a peaceful nuclear energy programme. According to WAM, Sheikh Abdullah said the UAE would publish the programme's full details, in keeping with its approach of "absolute transparency" in dealing with the international community.
