The UAE’s National Human Resources Development and Employment Authority (Tanmia), a driving force behind the nationalization of the UAE, has moved to streamline and simplify its financial management systems using the Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition.
As Tanmia’s operations continues to grow, the Oracle solution has been implemented to achieve greater levels of control and integration in critical areas, notably human resources management and financial systems – the cornerstones of Tanmia’s Emaratisation drive.
Tanmia has recently conducted a number of large-scale projects, requiring concerted co-ordination across various departments. More than 700 jobs were offered at the Tanmia open day in June and, in July, the Authority held a groundbreaking HR summit to discuss nationalization issues. In addition, all public services provided by Tanmia are now e-enabled, and the administrative body is storing ever-greater amounts of information online.
With the increasing complexity of its online requirements, Tanmia required a scalable, integrated solution to centralize information on its ever-increasing number of available applicants and events, and Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition met these requirements. In addition, the support and training features of the Oracle solution will provide straightforward access and functionality for all Tanmia staff, no matter what their level of IT expertise.
“As our organization continues to grow, so our financial operations will inevitably become more complex, and we require a back-office system on which to base all our future expansion,” said Feddah Lootah, Tanmia’s Director of Finance and Administration. “Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition provides Tanmia with all of the functionality used by some of the UAE’s most prominent organizations, but at a scope and cost of ownership that is manageable for us as we expand our operations.”
Oracle has vast experience of implementing solutions for administrative bodies across the UAE, including the municipalities of both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Both these organizations have reaped considerable benefit from Oracle technology, which integrates data from across all departments to facilitate administration and decision-making. Tanmia is now set to see similar benefits.
“With employment issues assuming greater priority in the UAE economy, Tanmia strives to provide the best possible online support for UAE nationals, and the Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition provides Tanmia with the visibility and decision-making capabilities it needs for the long –term, said Husam Dajani, Oracle’s Vice President for the Middle East and Africa. “The Oracle solution is sufficiently flexible to evolve with Tanmia, and provides an affordable, accessible solution to each of its many financial and human resources requirements.”
The Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition implementation at Tanmia has been managed by Mindscape Information Technology, a specialist provider of information technology for business solutions. Tanmia selected Mindscape largely because of the company’s technical expertise as an Oracle partner across the Middle East.
