The biggest super-yacht ever built in the Middle East – Gulf Craft’s Majesty 130 – has successfully completed sea-trials and will soon be delivered to the owner in Australia.

The vessel has been under construction for over two years at Gulf Craft’s Umm al-Qaiwain yard in the UAE and is the latest in a series of ever-growing Majesty Yachts productions.

The company is one of a handful in the world with the skills and capacity to build yachts of more than 100-feet in overall length.

At 130-feet, the Majesty 130 is the biggest in its class that ranges upwards from the entry-level Majesty 44.

The 130 sleeps eight in four cabins and also has quarters for a crew of six and a separate cabin for captain. Power is provided by twin 2,000 hp engines, and the super-yacht has fuel capacity of 33,500 litres, giving the range for extended ocean voyages.

Interior design is by the specialist Australian, Sam Sorgiovanni Designs, and premium fittings and finishes are used throughout to create super-luxury quality.

Erwin Bamps, Gulf Craft’s executive manager, described the new yacht as: “The most ambitious project ever undertaken by a fibreglass yacht builder in this region.

“The Majesty 130 shows that we can compete successfully at the highest levels of international market expectations, where customers are discerning and demanding in their requirements.”

The completion of the Majesty 130 coincides with Gulf Craft’s 25th anniversary, during which time it has grown from being a relatively small producer of fishing boats and leisure craft to become a global player in the luxury yacht industry.

More than 70 per cent of annual production of about 600 vessels is exported and the company now has a network of international distributors covering more than 40 countries.
