Two UN peacekeepers were injured in Israeli-held Golan Monday when mortar fire from Syrian territory crossed the boundary into the peacekeeping base, according to an Israeli army spokesman.

Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner said via Twitter the two soldiers were evacuated for treatment in Israel, saying they were lightly injured in the incident.
