Two policemen and two suspects were killed Tuesday during a security operation following the shootings of five Shia mourners in the east of the country, according to AFP.
A further two police officers were wounded in the gun battle between security forces and suspects in Riyadh.
Shia mourners had gathered late Monday to commemorate Ashura when they were ambushed by gunfire.
