Palestinian security and medical sources reported early Wednesday that an Israeli undercover units killed an Islamic Jihad activist in the West Bank city of Jenin, critically wounding two and arresting four others.
The security sources told WAFA that Israeli undercover soldiers, disguised as civilians, opened fire against a number of restaurant dwellers, killing one and wounding two others.
Palestinian medical sources at Suleiman Hospital said that Majed al-Saady, 27, was instantly killed. Mahmmoud Kmail 50, the restaurant driver, was critically wounded in the belly and Mohammed Kreiny 16, a worker in the restaurant was also injured.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces arrested the restaurant owner, Mohammed Fahmawy 48 and Iyad Dabaia 22, Rabea al-Saady, 24, and Aziz Barakat, 35.
Late Tuesday, another Palestinian was shot dead when Israeli troops opened fire on houses in Balata Refugee Camp of Nablus, witnesses and medics said.
Palestinian medics said that Salah al-Lahwany 18, was killed after being shot with a live bullet in the belly.
Meanwhile, Israeli troops beefed up its military presence in the old city of Nablus, local sources said. They confirmed that massive Israeli forces were poured into the area amid intensive shooting. Two mosques were damaged during the Israeli operation, Palestinian witnesses and security officials said. (Albawaba.com)
