Two Moroccan tourists fatally shot by Algerian coastguards

The ill-fated tourists had embarked on a maritime excursion using water scooters, setting off from the shoreline of Saidia, a Moroccan city adjacent to the Algerian border. Regrettably, they inadvertently veered off course and entered Algerian maritime.

ALBAWABA- In a distressing event reported on Thursday by Moroccan media, two tourists of Moroccan-French dual nationality lost their lives as they unintentionally ventured into Algerian waters and were met with gunfire from Algerian coastguards. 

The incident unfolded when the victims, identified as Bilal Qaisi and Abdelali Mechouar, were fatally shot by Algerian coastguards on Tuesday. The Moroccan news platform "Le360" detailed that the tragedy occurred within the waters under Algerian jurisdiction. 

Additionally, Algerian authorities apprehended another individual, Ismail Snabi, who, like the victims, possesses both Moroccan-French citizenship.
