Two people were killed, including an 11-year-old boy, and 11 hurt in a gunbattle between two groups of Palestinians overnight following a dispute in the West Bank city of Nablus, hospital sources said Thursday.
Firas al-Aghbar, 11, and Khaireddin Masri, 20, were killed by stray bullets during the four-hour battle which also saw the town center wrecked.
The clash started when Ahmad Tabuk, a former Palestinian policeman, fired on two other people, seriously wounding them, the sources said.
Swearing revenge, relations and neighbors of the two wounded men, who lived in a refugee camp near Nablus, marched on the town. Including other policemen, they clashed with Tabuk's gang of about 20 men.
