Two kidnapped Serbs believed to be dead after US airstrikes in Libya

According to Reuters, Serbia’s Foreign Minister has claimed that two staff members of the Serbian Embassy are believed to be dead after US warplanes launched airstrikes against a suspected Daesh camp in western Libya.

The US raids killed more than forty people including two Serbian embassy staff members,  Sladjana Stankovic, a communications officer, and Jovica Stepic, a driver, who were kidnapped  on November 8 near the coastal city of Sabratha after their diplomatic convoy came under fire, Reuters reports.

At a press conference in Belgrade, Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic stated, "We are expecting identification of the victims, so formally we cannot confirm the information.”
