Two Egyptian schoolboys died in a road accident in Doha after they were hit by a pick-up, reported the Gulf Times newspaper.

The boys, both aged nine years, were returning home from school when the accident occurred. Sources said the children were crossing a busy main road in the Bin Mahmood area.

The pick-up was reportedly driven by an Indian national.

While one of the boys died on the spot, the other succumbed to injuries at the intensive care unit in the Hamad Hospital.

Sources told the paper that one of the deceased boys was the only child of his parents – Albawaba.com
