A Turnkey Information Solutions Staff Member Receives Prestigious Programming Award

Turnkey Information Solutions (TIS), a leading Jordanian IT business solutions company, announced that one of its staff member was recently awarded the "The Best Computer Programming for 2005." This annual award has been offered since 1993 by Philadelphia University to individuals or parties who have successfully created innovative programming solutions or contributed to the advancements of the IT sector in Jordan.

Ala'a Abd-alrahman Ahmad, software developer for TIS, was granted this award for the year 2005 on account of his creation of the First Arabic-based Programming Language (FAPL).  It was designed for programmers whom are not proficient in the English language and face difficulty in understanding English definitions and variables. It is user friendly and includes a tool which facilitates using the system and compiling the written codes.

Ala'a Abd-alrahman Ahmad, stated, "I am honored and grateful to Philadelphia University for their recognition and to be the holder of such a prestigious prize.  I would like to add that TIS has always invested in the advancement of technology and innovative thoughts.  TIS helped make this possible with their support.  I will continue to work along with my colleagues and team on pushing our industry forward."  Ala'a developed this software with the help of his colleagues Ala'a Nobani and Waseem Bader within a recorded 10 months time frame.

Mr. Fadi Mubarak, TIS's General Manager, stated that the achievements made by TIS's staff members are sources of pride for the company as they reflect skills held by the company's skilled and innovative team.

"Ala’a’s outstanding contribution will most definitely have a positive impact on the development of our industry which will only result in setting even higher standards for IT excellence.  We are proud that this accomplishment was attributed to one of our own. We congratulate him and look forward for more great future achievements from him and the TIS team," Mubarak added.

Ala'a, 23 years old, was given a financial reward, a plaque, and copyrights to "FAPL" at an awards ceremony held on Thursday December 29th 2005. The ceremony was held under the patronage of Mrs. Layla Sharaf, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, during the event's proceedings Ahmad also received a special plaque from TIS.
