ALBAWABA- The Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, is currently visiting Iran, where he has held meetings with his Iranian counterpart. This visit carries significance as it comes just two days after his trip to Iraq, where he engaged with Iraqi officials on various mutual interests.

During this visit, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, unveiled plans for a trilateral summit involving Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, aimed at enhancing economic cooperation. This announcement was made during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan. The discussions covered a range of security and legal agreements.

This Iranian initiative follows the recent improvement in relations between Riyadh and Tehran, marking a departure from an extended period of strained relations, primarily due to differing regional perspectives, including issues in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen.

In response, the Turkish Minister emphasized the significance of Iranian-Saudi relations and expressed his nation's support for them. 

Fidan highlighted that during his talks with his Iranian counterpart, they discussed vital strategic matters between their countries and explored avenues for collaboration across various sectors while addressing outstanding issues.
