Curfews were imposed in 10 villages in southeastern Diyarbakir province early Thursday, according to the regional governor's office.
Security forces will locate and destroy explosive devices planted by PKK militants in the villages in Lice district during the curfew, the office said a statement.
About the duration of the curfew, the statement said it would continue until further notice.
Turkey has been engaged in a military campaign against PKK militants across the country's largely Kurdish southeast since July 2015.
